It would be great if there is excess CARES Act money available to help the School Board in this area. I know with Mr Sexton’s expertise helping them, it could really be a game changer for public involvement with the Community.

Board Members-
As requested, the IT team has been working to determine the upgrades necessary to improve the sound quality in the boardroom.  Uma and David Stanley have been working with an outside company to ascertain what was needed on our end.

We have received an initial estimate of $171k for the equipment.  This figure does not include whatever upgrades need to occur in the transmission lines.  Uma and David are working with GRU on this issue.  Initially, it looks like a monthly charge that we would be paying that could be anywhere from $750 to $1500 per month- but again, they are still working through that cost.  Uma has also reached out to the company to see if we need to purchase all of that equipment at once or if it is something we could phase in, given our current budget constraints.

I will update you once we receive the cost for the transmission line upgrades.
