Commissioners,
I have been asked to share with you the status of MSTU - Law Enforcement Reserves after the Carry-forward budget amendment is passed.
The FY22 adopted budgeted reserves = $1,448,792 (5% of revenues per policy)
The Carry-forward budget amendment adds $243,649 to reserves and is available for reappropriation and maintain reserve policy.
This addition was from the Sheriff's return of excess funds from FY22 and recognition of additional revenue from the contract with the School Board for School Resource Officers.
The new reserve total will be $1,692,441.
