I just read that you want to change from single member districts back to the old members at large.   I am very much opposed to that.  I have lived here in a rural unincorporated area of Alachua County for 25 years.  I never felt represented at all at the County level.   We only have tried the single member districts for less than two years.  I want to feel represented.  Don't try changing back now. It's not fair to the residents outside of Gainesville. Under Florida law, all information, including e-mail, written letters, documents and phone messages, sent to the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners is subject to Public Records law.  This includes the sender's e-mail address, home address or phone number if shown in the message, the content of the message and any associated attachments to the mail.  Also please be aware that electronic correspondence (e-mail) is made available on the Commission's public archive site immediately upon being sent.
