Dear Commissioner;

 I am asking for your support for Pickleball in the county. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the United States, and I believe in Alachua County. As you may be aware, there are too few courts for the ever increasing numbers of pickleball players. Although I play pickleball at different courts, I mainly use the three courts on the basketball courts at Jonesville. The numbers of players, and the waiting time between matches has increased significantly. We need more courts at Jonesville. Just adding a cement pad and three courts would allow participants to spend significantly more time playing, and exercising. Most players play between 8:00-11:00, thereby not adversely affecting parking. To date, the county has not spent any funds on this ever increasing popular sport. There is no valid reason not to build the courts. It is money well spent, and will benefit those now playing, both young and old, as well as, all the new players who will be introduced to this fine sport. Thank you, I am looking forward to your support.
