To Marsi Benson AND Other Parties:

Hello: my name is Victor A. Vega and I was not home when a mailman came to deliver my mail.
My mother digitally signed for the envelope which included some documents implying that a
lien may be placed on my residence (4027 NW 17th Place Gainesville, FL 32605).

This was a great surprise to me and my parents since we were all physically present at the
Alachua County Appraiser's Office and actually spoke with Ms. Benson. According to Ms. Benson
once we paid the years stipulated: 2019 - 2022; we were NOT to worry about any liens on the
property. In fact; my mother even asked you/her if she could have any proof that no liens would
be placed on the property and Ms. Benson told us that once the payment was made to the Tax
Collector's Office {which we did on that very same day} no liens would be placed.

Interestingly; the top letter/document that we received today (and my mom signed for), Monday,
April 22, 2024 was dated (as you can see from the attachment) March 21, 2024 (lien letter document is the bottom three images; Tax collector payment receipts top 4 images). In this document
the last paragraph stipulates that the law requires that before the lien(s) are filed, the
owner so notified must be given 30 days to pay the taxes, penalties, and interest. IF we did
owe anything [which we will and are challenging], the office of the Alachua County Property
Appraiser's would seem to have violated the law that requires for the owner(s) to be given
at least 30 days to pay the taxes which, based on the fact that I received the letter today,
would conflict with the 2nd document which is marked as~ Continued: Intent/Denial Page 2
that stipulates that the lien was to be placed on 4/20/2024. WHAT?

Let me begin by stating the obvious; we have already paid for the 'final penalty' {taxes and
interest included} the day we were at the Alachua County Appraisers office by going to the downtown
Gainesville tax collector's building and paying the lump sum of $10,454.36 to Cammie Weir on
2/29/2024 as shown in the attachments. Please note; this is on top of also paying a penalty for
2023 on February 22, 2024 (also noted on the attachments).

This is why we are sending copies to various individuals for review and hopefully investigation.

PLEASE CLARIFY AS TO THE INTENT OF THE LETTER. IN OTHER WORDS ARE YOU SUGGESTING WE STILL OWE
EVEN AFTER PAYING ALL THE FEES AND BEING TOLD OTHERWISE; OR WAS IT SENT AS A FORM OF RECEIPT?

Please make any necessary corrections if needed and/or inform us of this matter as soon as possible.

Sincerely

Victor A. Vega Jr
