SUBJECT: COUNTY ROAD REPAIR

Shiloh Baptist Church established in 1867 has been a pillow of this this community serving the Archer community/other. It is also a historic site. Pastor Lionel Walker is the Pastor at this time and regret not being able to attend this meeting for very personal reasons. The date is a conflict.
We thank the County for taking care of 147th Ave, over the years. This road leads to Shiloh where residents reside on the road including, Ms. Kathy Penny, City of Archer Commissioner. The road extends north where children live with families in the area and experience walking/driving on this road to and from the Archer Elementary School.
On Feb 24th The Black History Program held at Shiloh. It was a time when we had a couple of days of rain. As the church members drove along this road they were spinning and almost stuck in the limerock mud. We are asking the Alachua County Commissioners to invest for a permanent fix eliminating this situation. The time and money spent to upgrade the road with limerock is not a savings in the long run.
