There is still time to participate in NACo's 2024 Achievement Awards and celebrate your county's successes.
  • By applying for an Achievement Award, your county can earn local and national recognition. Achievement Award winners have been featured in local media and in NACo's County News. We also frequently spotlight award-winning programs in congressional testimony, research reports and other county storytelling.

This April, join us in celebrating National County Government Month, an opportunity to highlight effective programs and raise public awareness about our essential roles and responsibilities.
  • Civic engagement: Utilize NACo's suite of tools to help tell the county story to a wide range of audiences, including students of all ages and community and intergovernmental partners.
  • 100K challenge: Engage youth (and the young at heart) with Counties Work, an online educational game where users simulate the role of a county official, balancing resident requests and the budget. We're aiming for 100,000 game plays during April!
