Music on the Patio: African Drumming & Dance with Mohamed DaCosta and Friends

Join us on the patio for an evening of African Drumming and Dance as Mohamed DaCosta and Friends brings you the sounds of Ghana and West African traditions. You will be dancing to the beats.

Mohamed DaCosta was trained by elder Musa Silla Kanuteh for dance and Ali Kalissa for djembe and djun-djun of the Gambia West Africa.

Mohamed taught African dance and drumming to visiting Americans and Europeans in the Gambia West Africa. He has also performed as a dancer, drummer and costume designer with the following West African based dance companies in Guinea and Senegambian regions: Allantou Troupe, Batafon, Sacred Forest and African Ballet of Gambia.

Mohamed has taught dance and music extensively at Universities, Colleges and Public Schools throughout the United States.

We look forward to him and his friends entertaining us on the patio.
