Hi

I rec’d  a notice reference a CHW neighborhood workshop notification reference Solar farm off Hwy 346 in Archer FL.  The letter came from Gerry Dedenbach, AICP Vice President that was date 10/30/2020. The Sand Bluff Solar project renewable energy for GRU . Meeting date 11/17/2020 time 6pm

I live at 12615 SW – CR 346.  My area was previously surrounded by Farm Pine trees and they cut down recently and the property was sold.  We live in the Rural/Agricultural section of Alachua county.  My Family has always lived in this area and homestead we have animals and Pine Trees on our property.

We have some elderly family members home in this area and health issues. We the people will be viewing, seeming, and dealing with megawatts of solar power that it will generate.  Not to say the health concern, our well water, and this electric voltage.   The hardware that converts solar energy into usable power, which generates electricity from light and the use of material used in photovoltaic cells is silicon

“When light shines on the semi-conductor, the electric field across the junction between these two layers causes electricity to flow, generating DC (direct current). The greater the intensity of the light, the greater the flow of electricity.

The electricity produced by the PV project replaces electricity otherwise produced by nuclear or gas or coal fired plants. Looking at between 600 tons and 1,400 tons per MWp

I get my Electrical from Clay Electric not GRU.  I hate to think we being use/sacrifice for the good of solar and GRU back up plan.   Amazing when I when on line I didn’t see anything about healthy benefit/concern issue on the web page

I would like my county commission to help stop this for the health and concern and the issue above.

Thanks, you
