The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) is requesting public comments on its Substantial Amendment to the state of Florida’s Federal Fiscal
Year (FFY) 2019 Action Plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to include Community Development Block Grant – Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) Round 3 funding.
HUD has allocated $100 million in CDBG-CV funding to the state of Florida to help local governments respond to and recover from COVID-19 and the impacts
it has caused. The state of Florida previously amended the FFY 2019 Action Plan to incorporate $79.8 million in CDBG-CV funds. Prior to receipt of $20.2 million in CDBG-CV Round 3 funding from the HUD Office of Community Planning and Development, Florida is
required to prepare a formal substantial amendment to the FFY 2019 Action Plan. DEO is responsible for preparing the Action Plan and soliciting comments from the public regarding the plan and its subsequent amendments. The comment period begins today and ends
on Friday, November 20, 2020. Additional information about how to provide comments on the Action Plan is as follows:
All interested parties are invited to submit written comments directly related to the proposed amendment to the current Florida FFY 2019 Action Plan.
