Tropical Storm Eta update #3

Eta made landfall at Cedar Key in Levy County at 4:20 a.m. Maximum sustained winds at that time were 50 mph. The storm is still making its way across Florida. All watches and warnings for North-central Florida will remain in place but should be cancelled by this afternoon as the storm exits Florida. No significant impacts are expected.
 
Local Impacts:
  • There continues to be the possibility of gusting winds through the morning
  • Highest winds recorded at the airport: 26 mph sustained gusting to 43 mph
  • Rainfall continues to be light over the area with a total of just over one inch in the last 24 hours (measured at the airport)
  • Some standing water or ponding is possible
