We want to protest this agreement which we were not informed about in time to give our input. We don’t want to be absorbed by the City of Alachua.
Maybe some communication can take place about the need for this annexation. What benefits are there for landowners? At minimum, there should be a process to enable us to discuss the annexation and long-term plans that are already being made for the area (witness the planned roadway corridor from the city of Alachua through San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park and Turkey Creek Preserve). This roadway would closely parallel Hwy 441 and is unnecessary, seeming to only benefit the owners of Rattlesnake Ranch. 93rd Avenue and 441 are already there. Another close road isn’t needed.
Please reverse this annexation until discussions can take place ann no d our input can be included unlike for the annexation. Thank you.
