During the June 11, 2024 BOCC regular meeting Commissioner Cornell reminded Alachua County Local Organizing Committee, Inc. director Stephen Rodriguez that as a government funded nonprofit the LOC is subject to the Florida Public Records Law and BOCC policy. Mr. Rodriguez confirmed he understood policy requirements, including the necessity to maintain all records in an orderly and accessible fashion.
Mr. Rodriguez mentioned that the LOC had already drawn preliminary site plans for what they intend to do on the former West End property. Mr. Rodriguez also provided details of prior international travel the LOC engaged in for promotional purposes.
Under Florida Statutes 119 work product documents, such as the plans for West End mentioned, are public record.
I am requesting the preliminary site plan document(s) Mr. Rodriguez referenced.
I am requesting all records relating to the international travel excursions taken by the LOC.
I am also requesting a copy of the WMA indoor track event application.
