Dear Commissioners:
I know that we have a small tax base and public green space does not bring in tax money but I am certain that Alachua County residents would rather pay a small increase in their taxes to compensate for the loss of tax dollars paid by West End developers. I am an Alachua County unincorporated area resident, I vote and I care about our environment, air and water quality.
PLEASE don’t sell out to developers!!!!! The land would better serve the west end of town as a recreational area. If quality of life affects your decision on behalf of the residents of the west end, less congestion and more green space will keep people in the area.
Please let me know your position on this topic. Thank you, Charna Cohn
