Good Morning,
I see the radio system is back on the agenda AGAIN.
If the objective is to continue to try to push for the same terms as
offered before by GRU, why waste your time? It is an ugly deal for the tax
payers no matter how much lipstick you put on it.
Reminder of what this is about:
1)GRU owns a depricated radio system that it wants to lease out.
2)GRU's system may not be capable of supporting all the needs of lessees.
3)GRU wants tax payers to upgrade system to a tune of 8 million so it can
satisfy needs of lessees. In other words, the tax payers need to fix it
before they can lease it.
4)After tax payers pay to upgrade the system, they must pay GRU
approximately 2 million a year to cover the lease agreement.
Again, the taxpayers are being asked to make a wager in a game where
the rules are 'heads GRU wins, tails the taxpayers lose'.
Please take a look at the Palm Beach model on how they handled their Trunk
Radio System needs.
Thanks
Anthony Johnson
