> In reviewing the 2040 Alachua County Development Plan I'm struck by the fact that the proposed Flint Rock development area is not noted in the plan as an 'development' area (is an 'exception' being requested regarding density of homes/acre?) and more importantly that it is requested to be approved for an area that is considered, per your own map, as a 'highly vulnerable' area with respect to the Floridan Aquifer (see map below).

> The growth at the north end or Parker Rd (122nd St) has been overwhelming in my opinion.  I see that your 2040 plan also does not, as far as I can tell, anticipate any significant change to Parker Rd itself despite this being one of the arteries for the Tioga 'urban density zone'.  Needless to say the traffic will increase with these new Flint Rock homes, the many Oakmont homes that keep popping up, and there will be a new school too, adding yet more traffic and schoolbuses.  As a result the roadkill along Parker Road will undoubtedly increase and I wonder why some mitigation efforts haven't been considered (i.e., safe passageways for animals to move under the road).
