I have been requesting the detailed financial records associated with the operations of the Alachua County Sports and Events Center, for the past 3 months. 
I have not received the detailed records I have requested. I have received monthly financial reports due each month on the 20th of the month for the previous month of operations. 

Recently, per a written message from Commissioner Alford the following comment was provided: “Short answer to your phone call: The attorneys say that they do not have to provide those detailed records”. 

To deny public records upon request is a violation of FS 119 unless the statutory exemption is provided to justify the denial. 

I have also, numerous times requested the exemption which applies to this specific request and the denial to provide records. I have not received this information. 

I am requesting the Florida statutory exemption supporting the County attorneys position on this request.
