We are writing you to ask you to vote against rezoning West End Golf Course.
We feel strongly that this property zoning should remain Recreational - as intended in the Alachua County Land Use Plan out to 2040.
Recreational green space is the most cost effective way to improve the health and quality of life for citizens. If the zoning is changed to Residential it would allow up to 750 homes to be built in a community where within a 2 mile radius there are 1492 residences currently being built. Residential/Commercial development would result in more congestion, accidents and pollution on Newberry Road.  Voting against rezoning would allow for a 75-acre green space in the center of what is one of the fastest growing residential areas of Alachua County.
Please do not consider rezoning West End Golf Course!
