As your constituent, I’m urging you to work with the SAFE Cities movement to phase out fossil fuels and implement a just transition to clean energy.

Just last month 10 new jurisdictions joined, pledging to phase out fossil fuels and endorsing the call for a Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty. There are so many things we can do at the local level to take on fossil fuels. First, we can and should endorse the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty. Next, we should phase out fossil fuel infrastructure in our community, whether that means refineries and pipelines, gas stations and buildings, or all of the above.
