Lmk if you see anything to support my new housing efficiency proposal. (Providing energy efficient upgrades to substandard housing in exchange for landlords maintaining as affordable for some specified period of time. Using energy saved to provide carbon offsets to the county.) This proposal has the full support of the commission and has gone to staff for implementation planning. I’m trying to shove it into this racial equity box and it fits in many ways but I’d have to think about that. Having money to jumpstart and/or provide outreach to historically neglected communities would be awesome though.
