Dear Commissioners, 

I”m delighted that Vystar is presenting today, and hope, as they begin to step more into the opportunities CDFI’s offer, we will develop the missing financial infrastructure to serve low income, underserved residents, and, for our entire community to be able to shift from addressing short term symptoms of inequity, to actually having support structures to build community wealth in multiple ways— way beyond housing 

For many years, a number of us— and some of you— worked hard to find a way to get Self Help credit union here— such disappointment it didn’t work out— but now, Vystar offers a new chance to develop a much more robust financial structure to deal with systemic needs — housing, food, small business etc etc
