Good Morning Ms. Robbins,

Thank you for sharing this article and comment string with me. I am following the Springs County "movement" closely, but the commission has yet to take any formal action about it - since there is no real legal structure to what is being proposed, it would be difficult for us to really do anything. Since it appears these are loud voices from a few people, I believe the best course of action is to just watch and pay attention. There are many steps that would need to be taken and so far, the only steps I have seen, have been promotion and the collecting people's hard earned dollars.

A better strategy, and one that I ran on, is to address the issues that are of concern to rural residents. They are right - roads are atrocious and need to be addressed in an equitable way. We need to heal the political rifts and the county commission needs to meet regularly with the leaders of all of our towns. It's bad enough we have such a political divide - we really don't need to also have a physical divide.

Thank you again for reaching out. Have a great day, stay safe and happy holidays!

Mary A.
