Dear Commissioners,
Please keep the West End area on West Newberry Road as recreational zoning as in the current Land Use Plan. The need for green spaces, in contrast to even more housing, provides a place for people and animals to thrive. The proposed enhancements, such as playgrounds, 9-hole golf course, and walking trails, would add to quality of life. The traffic is already dangerously congested in this area. Please don’t add more houses, cars, asphalt.
I moved here 7 years ago for the golf and now have to drive across town to play. Please give western Alachua County this option.
