It is imperative that you do not vote for any mask mandates in Alachua county. There is no evidence that masks are an effective mitigation method for COVID-19. Further the deaths we have been seeing from this recent bump in cases is expected with any virus and is very seasonal. Furthermore, the virus is currently less contagious than any virus to date including the flu or chicken pox.

There is no reason to reinstate restrictive measures that have no evidence to suggest effectiveness.
