I am asking that the Alachua county commissioners vote NO on the west end golf course rezoning. The growth in this area is out of control. What happened to the idea of infill as opposed to urban sprawl. Urban sprawl is winning. The traffic on Newberry Road is horrendous and getting worse. There are so many new apartment complexes being built out here I don’t know where all the people are going to come from. We don’t need to eliminate our beautiful green space for an 80 room hotel in this area. Many of the residents in this area bought their homes here because of the golf course. It was supposed to be a golf course community and was so for many years. Please vote NO on this rezoning request. Thank you, Jane Page (A proud resident of Alachua County for over 60+ years and fifth generation Floridian.)
