Alachua County Board of County Commission,

I am writing to say that Alachua County needs to end the mask mandate and I will no longer wear a mask at any place nor will I ask my family or friends to do so. There are several reasons:

1.  My rights are are not granted by the Alachua County Board of Commissioners but rather the Constitution of the United States and Florida.

2. As elected officials, the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners works for the people of Alachua County not the other way around.

3.  The mask science is clear, masks are ineffective.

4.  The risk is so low it renders masks unjustifiable.

5.  All surrounding counties have lifted mask mandates. As has the largest geographic county in our state, Duval County.

It is time to listen to the constituency and end the mask mandate.
