Good morning,
I’ve been a frequent volunteer at ACAS for 4 years now. Alachua County should be ashamed of the conditions dogs continue to live in at our county shelter! 
Year after year myself and other volunteers have communicated with you the horrible conditions these dogs are living in...year after year the conditions worsen and it’s brushed under the rug. I think Someone is lying to someone . I can’t imagine that the people in charge (county officials)truly know what’s going on down there? How can caging dogs.. in wire cages for 23 plus hours a day be good for dogs? One dog that’s been there for a few days (I’m gonna attach a picture) can’t even stand up all the way! He was confiscated from one situation to be helped like this? These dogs deserve SOooo much more then what you all are doing for them.

I’ve called Gainesville home for over 50 years.. I’m truly ashamed of how Alachua County is responding to the problems at our shelter year after year ! Dogs are suffering! Please take the blinders off, stop believing what you wanna believe.. someone isn’t being truthful to you.. please restore my faith in our county officials. I wanna believe there are still good people in politics.
