I am writing in opposition to the Multi-use Corridors of Regional Economic Significance (M-CORES) program, more appropriately known as the roads to ruin.

These roads and the urban sprawl they fuel will destroy working agricultural lands, wildlife habitat and water recharge areas. They will lead to more water quality issues and wreak havoc on our smaller communities. We need our commissioners to protect us, our lands and our way of life from this ill conceived project.

Our neighbors, Levy County and the City of Cedar Key have formally opposed the toll roads. I hope Alachua County will do the same and formally oppose the proposed toll roads and push for the No Build option.

Sincerely,

Cathy Nicholas
High Springs
